FAQs

No, we have plenty of window seating on our jet boats. Each of our tour boats are certified to fit 50 people per ride and we limit it to 38 passengers to ensure comfortable rides for everyone.

All of our boats are covered for this very reason. During the summer months, our captains ensure everyone gets wet (unless you don’t want to — please let us know ahead of time!). Additionally, all of our sides and front of the boat are open for a nice airflow even on those 100+ degree days.

Over the years, we have found that 6 hours is the perfect amount of time to be in Hells Canyon. You don’t want to be on the tour boat for much longer when it’s hot, but you don’t want to miss all of the adventure and beauty by cutting the trip short. You want to see the deepest most rugged part of Hells Canyon in the least amount of time possible. There’s plenty of shade, drinks and restrooms to keep you comfortable, and a ton of action and wildlife to keep you entertained along the way.

No way! There are frequent bathroom breaks on the trip (four total). And, if there is an urgent situation, Kurt and the crew are responsive and know the way well. We can make a quick emergency pit stop and be back to adventuring in no time.

Kurt and the staff are Coast Guard certified and have driven this section of the river more than any human in history. We have a 100% safety record, and we continue to take every precaution to keep it that way.

No. Jet boat tours are great adventure and entertainment for kids of all ages! The young and the old appreciate the sights and sounds of Hells Canyon as experienced on a jet boat tour.

Yes, and our lunches are delicious! We bring a ton of drinks for you, and the lunches are freshly (and locally) baked hoagie bun sandwiches with macaroni salad and a freshly baked cookie.

We see some form of wildlife 100% of the time. We always shoot for the hat trick which is: sheep, bald eagle, and bear. We usually get it, but not always. We can’t guarantee when it comes to wildlife, but you have an extremely good chance of seeing some amazing local animals.

Yes, you can! Kurt and his deckhand will personally help you in the boat and make you comfortable. We lift wheelchairs in and out of the jet boat regularly and can accommodate nearly every disability. This trip is for EVERYONE!

Yes, we provide all guests with a Coast Guard-rated life vest, which is mandatory on board.

Casual and comfortable clothes. On a typical summer day, shorts and a t-shirt with a hat are recommended. On cooler days, long pants and a light waterproof jacket is ideal. If you wear a bathing suit, we recommend wearing clothes over it. Every passenger must wear a life vest.

Heavy rain and lightning will delay the jet boat tour. We will try to depart once the storm passes, and if that’s not possible, we will cancel the ride and refund your money.

Yes, you may bring a camera or cell phone along at your own risk. It is recommended to purchase a waterproof case and keep it attached to the carrying handle. Keep in mind that we are going on a jet boat adventure that will splash!
