What is best time to see wildlife?

Wildlife is very very unpredictable but on any given tour you have a high chance to seeing a Bald Eagle, Big Horn Sheep, Deer, tons of other wildlife, as well as a good chance to see a Black Bear & mountain goat. Often you might see a large sturgeon as well from our Private Fishing Tours.

May

May provides very green scenery with snow cap peaks. It also is the time the water is usually running the highest due to the spring run off. So the rapids are the biggest usually always a class 5. It can also be a chilly as well, so we will run the rapids but probably won’t be getting you wet. This is typically, less busy compared to June, July and August.June

June is a great time of year as well, it is still very green in the canyon but temperatures are usually starting to get warmer, we take off the top canopy of the boat and go through the class 3, 4, 5 whitewater to get you wet 🙂

July

July is one of the most popular time of the year. Temperatures are usually very warm and we get you soaked 🙂 (for those who don’t wanna get wet, we have seats for you as well). It’s also a great time to take advantage of our private swimming beach towards the end of the tour.

August

September is a great time to go on our tour. Temperatures have started to drop and it’s typically a less busy time as well.
