FAQs

Not at all! Our jet boats have plenty of window seating, and we never fill them to capacity. We operate multiple boats and limit bookings to make sure everyone has plenty of space and a comfortable experience.

All of our boats are covered for this very reason. During the summer months, our captains ensure everyone gets wet (unless you don’t want to — please let your captain know ahead of time, but no guarantees!). Additionally, all of our sides and front of the boat are open for a nice airflow even on those 100+ degree days.

Over the years, we have found that 6 hours is the perfect amount of time to be in Hells Canyon. You don’t want to be on the tour boat for much longer when it’s hot, but you don’t want to miss all of the adventure and beauty by cutting the trip short. You want to see the deepest most rugged part of Hells Canyon in the least amount of time possible. There’s plenty of shade, drinks and restrooms to keep you comfortable, and a ton of action, history, and wildlife to keep you entertained along the way.

No way! There are frequent bathroom breaks on the trip. And, if there is an urgent situation, Kurt and the crew are responsive and know the way well. We can make a quick emergency pit stop and be back to adventuring in no time.

Kurt and the staff are Coast Guard certified and have driven this section of the river more than any human in history. We have a 100% safety record, and we continue to take every precaution to keep it that way.

No. Jet boat tours are great adventure and entertainment for kids of all ages! The young and the old appreciate the sights and sounds of Hells Canyon as experienced on a jet boat tour.

Yes, and our lunches are delicious! We bring a ton of drinks for you, and the lunches provided are freshly made deli-style sub sandwiches with Idaho made chips, and cookie! Fresh veggies and condiments are included on the side.

We see some form of wildlife 100% of the time. We always shoot for the hat trick which is: sheep, bald eagle, and bear. We usually get it, but not always. We can’t guarantee when it comes to wildlife, but you have an extremely good chance of seeing some amazing local animals.

Yes, you can! Our crew will personally help you in the boat and make you comfortable. We lift wheelchairs in and out of the jet boat regularly and can accommodate nearly every disability. This trip is for EVERYONE!

Yes, we provide all guests with a Coast Guard-rated life vest, which is mandatory on board going into the bigger whitewater.

Casual, cool and comfortable clothes. On a typical summer day, shorts and a t-shirt with a hat are recommended. On cooler days, long pants and a light waterproof jacket is ideal. If you wear a swimming suit, we recommend wearing clothes over it. Every passenger must wear a life vest during the bigger white water experience.

We go rain or shine! If there’s a storm, we’ll pull off and wait it out before continuing the tour. If the weather’s really bad and we have to cancel, no worries — you’ll get a full refund.

Yes, you may bring a camera or cell phone along at your own risk. It is recommended to purchase a waterproof case and keep it attached to the carrying handle. Keep in mind that we are going on a jet boat adventure that will splash!
