Hells Canyon on the Snake River

On our 6 hour Wild River Tour you will see the best of Hells Canyon. You will jet boat through the Wild River Section and the Natural Wilderness Preserve area. This tour takes you safely up stream in our comfortable, not crowded Bentz Jet Boats – through all the big whitewater rapids, through the deepest most rugged part of Hells Canyon, all the way to the Dam and Visitor Center.

Stops include Kirkwood Historical Ranch Museum, Sheep Creek Cabin or Bernard Creek & McGaffee cabin and the Indian Petroglyph writings, with lunch at Dam Visitor Center. Wildlife sightings include Big Horn Sheep, Bear, Deer, Elk, Bald Eagles, Otters, Cougar. You will enjoy the exotic rock formations, and spectacular scenery in the Canyon. We usually stop at a sandy beach for wading or a swim in the 70’s degree water. This tour includes lunch, beverages, water and an unforgettable day of fun.

Guests will be riding in our custom 36 foot triple engine or our 28 foot twin engine. Most all seats are window seats in the 36 foot jet boat and all seats in the 28 foot jet boat are window seats. Tours will not be crowded.

We provide our Jet Boat Tours March through October. The Wild River Tour starts at 10:00 am and returns to the dock at 4:00 pm for the months of June through August. (Water is usually warm enough to swim) Other months the start time is 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Morning of the tour – directions and information you will need:

Optional Shuttle fee to Marina – $18.00 per person for the round trip. Reservations required.

If you are not staying with us the night before the tour, you will need the following information:

Day of Tour:   Arrive at office in White Bird by 8:45 a.m PDT (Pacific Day Light Time)

Directions to office:  Take the White Bird Exit off of Hwy 95, Left at only stop sign in town, then one mile SW on Old Hwy 95.  You will see our signs in front:  Hells Canyon Jet Boat Trips & Lodging, Killgore Adventures

We will get you checked in for the tour, sign a release form, board the shuttle or provide directions for the 17 mile scenic drive to the marina for the 10 A.M PDT boat tour departure.  Restrooms available at the office, the marina, and the stops we make on the tour.

We are on Pacific Day Light Time (PDT) – The time zone changes to mountain time at Riggins, only 28 miles South of White Bird….Mountain Time is (1) one  hour ahead of PDT.
